Badung, InfoPublik - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) attended the 2024 Welcoming Gala Dinner High-Level Forum on Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships and Indonesia-Africa Forum (HLF-MSP & IAF) in Bali, Sunday (1/9/2024).

Based on InfoPublik's monitoring, President Jokowi arrived at the location around 18.45 WITA to give a speech at the Gala Dinner.

Upon arrival at the Gala Dinner, President Jokowi, wearing green batik, immediately welcomed the Heads of State and representatives of participating countries who were present. Jacob Mudenda, representative of the Zimbabwean government, was the first guest welcomed by President Jokowi.

Furthermore, President Jokowi welcomed other guests of honor, including the Chair of the Kenyan Senate, Amason J. Kingi, the President of the National Council for Regions and Districts of the Republic of Tunisia, Imed Derbali, the Chair of the Eswantini Senate, Lindiwe Thulile Dlamini, and the Chair of the Burundi Senate, Emanuel Sinzohagera.

President Jokowi also welcomed the President of Rwanda, Paul Kagame, the Prime Minister of Eswatini, Russel Dlamini, the Prime Minister of Timor Leste, Xanana Gusmao, and other state guests who were also present at the event.

"Your Excellency the head of state, head of government, leaders of international organizations, honourable Mrs. Puan Maharani, speaker of Indonesia Parliament, speakers and vice speakers, distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to Bali, Indonesia, and thank you for your presence here," said President Jokowi.

President Jokowi added that Indonesia is honoured to host the high-level multiparty partnership forum and the Indonesia-Africa Forum for advancing inclusive and sustainable global development. Indonesia remains committed to strengthening cooperation and solidarity with countries in the African region, and this will also be continued by the next government.

Furthermore, President Jokowi introduced President-elect Prabowo Subianto. "So on this joyful occasion, allow me to introduce the President-elect, Mr. Prabowo Subianto, who will be inaugurated next month and will lead Indonesia in the future," said President Jokowi.

"Thank you and please enjoy the dinner," concluded President Jokowi, ending his remark.
