Badung, InfoPublik – Indonesia has been entrusted to host the High-Level Forum on Multistakeholder Partnership (HLF MSP) and the 2nd Indonesia Africa Forum (IAF) which took place in Bali from September 1-3, 2024. The international event was held at five main venues, namely Nusa Dua Beach Hotel, Intercontinental Resort Jimbaran, Hotel Mulia Resort Nusa Dua, Bali Nusa Dua Convention Centre, and Bali International Convention Centre.

These main venues were specially designed to accommodate world leaders and delegates attending the 2nd HLF MSP and IAF in Bali. Rubi Roesli, a renowned architect and interior designer with extensive experience in conference events, was entrusted with designing the two main venues located at the Intercontinental Resort Jimbaran and the Mulia Resort Nusa Dua.

At the Mulia Hotel, Rubi Roesli revealed that several areas, including the main hall where President Joko Widodo receives state guests, have been designed to create a grand and elegant atmosphere.

"The area for welcoming state guests is designed with a backdrop of Garuda wings, with the HLF MSP and IAF logos located in the center," said Rubi Roesli in a video clip from BPMI Setpres on Monday (2/9/2024).

The Garuda's wings were made from several wooden slats combined with rattan, given natural colors, so that the HLF MSP and IAF logos could be seen clearly and strikingly.

"For the conference area, we tried to translate the Garuda's wings through one central circular logo and then the spread Garuda feathers," explained Rubi.

The colors used in this space are a combination of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and natural wood, providing a comfortable and cohesive ambiance.

In terms of interior design, Rubi recognized that both hotels had already established very luxurious and ensured that her additions would not detract from the existing aesthetic.

"As in the InterContinental, with its refined and luxurious details, we try so that what we add there does not disturb the existing aesthetics," he added.

Meanwhile, Krisna, the Visual and Creative Consultant for the venue, explained that the branding theme used in this event was a derivative of the conference logo, which is the Garuda bird.

"We chose the Garuda bird because we wanted to take the energy and spirit of this symbol of the Indonesian nation's pride, " said Krisna.

With the spirit of the Garuda, Indonesia invites other countries to actively participate in solving global problems. The colors used in the venue design are also inspired by the SDGs themes discussed in this conference, as well as the flag colors of African countries.

"Because this is a conference that brings together Indonesia and Africa," explained Krisna.
