The 2nd IAF has achieved several notable milestones, including the signing of several Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and strategic cooperation agreements. These include the collaboration between PT PLN and TANESCO Tanzania for the development of geothermal energy, a Master Agreement on health technology transfer cooperation between Biofarma and Atlantic Lifesciences Ghana, and a Letter of Intent (LOI) between PT Dirgantara Indonesia and AD Trade, which facilitates the purchase and maintenance of aircraft by Congo and Senegal.
The 2nd IAF will be held from 1 to 3 September 2024 concurrently with the High-Level Forum on Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships (HLF MSP).
"The 2nd IAF is a follow-up to IAF I that took place in 2018 and will be officially opened by the President of the Republic of Indonesia," he said.
The 2nd IAF brings together over 1,400 participants, including heads of state, ministers, entrepreneurs, and academics, but also serves as a platform for creating partnerships in four main sectors of cooperation: energy, food security, health, and minerals.
In addition to economic cooperation, the 2nd IAF also acts as a platform to rekindle the Bandung Spirit. This spirit is a significant legacy of the 1955 Asian-African Conference, which was a historical milestone and a crucial foundation for the relationship between Indonesia and Africa.
