African Leaders Arrive in Bali to Attend HLF MSP 2024 and 2nd IAF

Badung, 1 September 2024 – Several African leaders have arrived in Bali to attend two international forums, the High-Level Forum on Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships (HLF MSP) 2024 and the 2nd Indonesia-Africa Forum (IAF) held in Nusa Dua, Bali, on 1--3 September 2024.
The arrival of these leaders marks a significant beginning of a growing international collaboration between Indonesia and African countries.
On Sunday (1 September 2024) morning, the President of Rwanda Paul Kagame, landed at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Badung, Bali, and was welcomed by the Director of Bali Provincial Mental Hospital, Ni Wayan Murdani. Upon his arrival, he was greeted with a traditional Balinese dance.
Liberian President Joseph N. Previously on Saturday, 31 August 2024 evening, President of Liberia Joseph N. Boakai, accompanied by First Lady Kartumu Yarta Boakai, arrived in Bali and was welcomed by Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs Pahala Mansury at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Badung, Bali.
Earlier on the same day, the President of Zanzibar and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council of the United Republic of Tanzania Hussein Ali Mwinyi arrived in Bali. He was welcomed by the Indonesian Deputy Minister of Trade, Jerry Sambuaga, with a warm welcome and a cultural presentation of traditional Balinese dance.
Zimbabwe's Vice President Kembo Champbell Dugishi Mohadi also arrived in Bali and was welcomed by the Indonesian Ambassador to Zimbabwe and Zambia, Dewa Made Juniarta Sastrawan. Mohadi's attendance shows Zimbabwe's commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with Indonesia, especially in cross-continental cooperation.
Meanwhile, on Friday, 30 August 2024, Eswatini Prime Minister Russel Mmiso Dlamini arrived in Bali. He was welcomed by the Indonesian Deputy Minister of Trade, Jerry Sambuaga, who showed a warm welcome from the Indonesian government to the guests of honor from Africa.
The High-Level Forum on Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships and the 2nd Indonesia Africa Forum in Bali are expected to strengthen diplomatic and economic relations between Indonesia and African countries, by emphasizing the importance of inclusive and sustainable multi-stakeholder partnerships.
The arrival of the African leaders also shows high enthusiasm for the increasing cooperation between the two regions. This forum will not only strengthen diplomatic relations but also open up new opportunities for mutually beneficial exchange of knowledge and investment.
With various events planned over the next three days, the High-Level Forum is expected to serve as an important platform for all parties involved to explore the potential for deeper and broader collaborations, towards a more inclusive and sustainable future for the global community.
