Denpasar, 30 August 2024 – The Bali Regional Police (Polda) implemented traffic engineering in the Nusa Dua area of Badung Regency to ensure the successful implementation of the 2nd Indonesia Africa Forum (IAF) and the High-Level Forum on Multi-Stakeholder Partnership (HLF MSP) 2024. Traffic engineering measures will be put in place, involving the situational road opening and closure from Saturday, 31 August to Tuesday, 3 September 2024,

This was emphasized by the Bali Police's Head of Public Relations, Senior Commissioner of Police Jansen Avitus Panjaitan, on Friday, 28 August 2024, in Denpasar.

“The Walrolakir (escort, route, patrol, and parking) Task Force will implement traffic engineering to ensure the smooth running of this event, ensuring that all activities of the community, tourists, delegations, and state visitors are well facilitated,” Jansen added.

Meanwhile, during the gala dinner for the head of state and delegates at the Intercontinental Bali Resort on Sunday, 1 September 2024, traffic diversions will be implemented, and certain roads in the area will be opened and closed.

"On the Jimbaran main road, there will be temporary diversions and intermittent closures in the road towards Kali Jimbaran Intersection. We’ll assess the situation concerning traffic flow management,” he said.

Furthermore, several road segments are prioritized in the traffic engineering for the upcoming four days, spanning from the Udayana University Campus Intersection to the Intercontinental Bali Resort region.

The traffic flow at the Udayana University Jimbaran Campus Intersection will be diverted to Bypass Ngurah Rai Road.

Jansen expects that the public will heed information about diversions or lane closures, particularly in Nusa Dua, Badung Regency, to help support the 2nd Indonesia-Africa Forum in 2024. (Rolandus Nampu, Laode Masrafi /TR/Elvira Inda Sari/SC/PR).
