Rwanda Ready to Share Trade and MSMEs Innovation at 2nd IAF in Bali

Jakarta, August 23, 2024 - The Republic of Rwanda is ready to share information on best practices in innovation, information technology, and the development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in their country at the 2nd Indonesia-Africa Forum in Bali from 1 to 3 September 2024.

This was conveyed by the Ambassador of the Republic of Rwanda to Indonesia, Sheikh Abdul Karim Harelimana, regarding their country's readiness to participate in the 2nd IAF.

"We have many achievements in the trade sector to share with other participants," he said on Thursday (22 August 2024).

In addition, Ambassador Harelimana also emphasized the importance of sharing knowledge about information technology and innovation that have been implemented in Rwanda.

"We hope to learn from the best practices that will be shared by Indonesia and other countries present at this forum," he said.

This forum will also be an opportunity to discuss various important themes, including economic transformation, energy, mining, food security, health, and development. "We believe that collaboration in these areas is crucial to achieving sustainable development goals," Ambassador Harelimana expressed.

The 2nd Indonesia-Africa Forum is expected to be a strategic platform to strengthen cooperation between Indonesia and African countries.

Ambassador Harelimana noted that the previous forums have provided many benefits for African countries and Indonesia. "We believe that the collaboration established in this forum will have a positive impact on both sides," he added.

Rwanda will send a delegation led by President of Rwanda, Paul Kagame, who is expected to make a significant contribution to the discussions. "We are ready, and we are prepared for all the topics to be discussed at this forum," he said.

IAF 2024 targets the presence of 28 heads of state and around 800 participants representing governments, international and regional organizations, as well as businesses from Indonesia and Africa.

Ambassador Harelimana hopes that this forum will bring great benefits not only to Rwanda and Indonesia but also to other African countries. "We hope that only good things will come out of this forum," he said.

With a spirit of collaboration and knowledge exchange, the 2nd Indonesia-Africa Forum in Bali is expected to be a significant milestone in strengthening the relationship between Indonesia and African countries. (Katriana/ Tia Mutiasari /TR/Elvira Inda Sari/SW/PR).
