One of the TNI's strategic assets, KRI Untung Suropati 372 was deployed by the Marine Task Force (Satgasla) of Joint Integrated Security Command (Kogabpadpam) for VVIP security to ensure that the High-Level Forum on Multi-Stakeholder Partnership (HLF MSP) and the 2nd Indonesia Africa Forum (IAF) in Bali waters are safe from all potential disturbances.
Badung, 1 September 2024 – Indonesian National Army's VVIP Joint Integrated Security Command’s (Kogabpadpam) Maritime Task Force (Satgasla) ensured that during the High-Level Forum on Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships (HLF MSP) and the 2nd Indonesia Africa Forum (IAF) 2024, the Bali waters are secure from any potential disturbances.
"The Satgasla is tasked with securing the Bali waters, be it from the West, South, East, and North sides, which are divided into three sectors," said Maritime Task Force Commander First Admiral TNI Teguh Prasetya, Sunday (1/9/2024).
The Marine Task Force (Satgasla) of Joint Integrated Security Command (Kogabpadpam) for VVIP security ensured that the High-Level Forum on Multi-Stakeholder Partnership (HLF MSP) and the 2nd Indonesia Africa Forum (IAF) 2024 in Bali waters are safe from all potential disturbances, Sunday (1 September 2024).
In addition to the personnel, the strategic assets deployed in the operation include KRI Raden Eddy Martadinata 331, KRI Ahmad Yani 351, KRI Untung Suropati 372, a Panther Helicopter aboard KRI REM-331, and 3 Sea Riders.
The security arrangement operated by the task force is expected to provide security to all delegates and participants, as well as to create a conducive atmosphere during the forums.
The deployment of VVIP Joint Integrated Security Command’s (Kogabpadpam) Maritime Task Force (Satgasla) on the Bali waters is part of the Indonesian Navy's commitment to support the success of various consequential international forums, while also demonstrating Indonesia's readiness to ensure the security and smooth running of high-level events.
The maritime security operation is focused not only on preventing threats but also on early detection and rapid response to any potential disturbances to guarantee optimum security of the seas around Bali during the HLF MSP and 2nd IAF 2024.
The High-Level Forum on Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships (HLF MSP) and the 2nd Indonesia Africa Forum (IAF) are international forums that bring together various stakeholders from numerous countries to discuss and collaborate on many significant global issues. This year, the two forums are held on 1—3 September 2024 in Bali.
Various security arrangements made including by the VVIP Joint Integrated Security Command’s (Kogabpadpam) Maritime Task Force (Satgasla) also contribute to the strengthening of Indonesia's position in the international arena, as a host that is capable of organizing a secure and orderly important events.
