Badung, 31 August 2024 — The number of participants of the 2024 High-Level Forum on Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships (HLF MSP), to be held on 1–3 September 2024 in Bali, exceeded the initial target of 1,000 participants. This indicates a high level of enthusiasm from various parties.

Presently, 1,275 participants from 26 countries have confirmed their attendance. This number includes 786 government representatives, 102 from international organizations, 107 from non-governmental organizations, 128 from the private sector, 8 from philanthropic organizations, 9 from think tank institution, 56 from academic communities, 9 from multilateral banks, and 70 security personnel.

On Saturday, 31 August 2024, Bogat Widyatmoko, Deputy for Politics, Law, and Security at the Ministry of National Development Planning (PPN/Bappenas), states that the number of participants for the High-Level Forum on Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships (HLF MSP) 2024, held on 1 – 3 September 2024 in Bali, has exceeded the set target.

“We are very optimistic. The increasing number of participants in the past few days shows great enthusiasm from various parties,” explained Bogat Widyatmoko, Deputy for Politics, Law, and Security at the Ministry of National Development Planning (PPN/Bappenas), on Saturday, 31 August 2024 in Nusa Dua, Bali.

The 2024 HLF MSP, themed “Strengthening Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships: Towards a Transformative Change,” will serve as a foundation for the Summit of the Future, to be held in New York on 22–23 September 2024.

Indonesian President Joko Widodo is scheduled to welcome all country representatives at the Welcoming Dinner and to open the main session of the Joint Leaders Session of Indonesia-Africa Forum (IAF) and HLF MSP 2024 on the second day.

The second day's High-Level Plenary Session will be opened by the Minister of National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas, Suharso Monoarfa, followed by keynote speeches from the President-elect of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, and the Prime Minister of Timor-Leste, Xanana Gusmão.

In addition to the main sessions, the forum will also host 12 parallel events and 17 side events running until 3 September at the Bali International Convention Center in Nusa Dua. The forum will discuss various topics relevant to sustainable development, including strategies to enhance cross-sector and cross-country cooperation in addressing global challenges.

The HLF MSP 2024 in Bali is expected to serve as an effective platform for promoting policy dialogue and strengthening global commitments to sustainable development. With the presence of various stakeholders from around the world, Indonesia hopes to play a key role in driving more inclusive and sustainable transformational change at the global level.
