Jakarta,
27 August 2024 – Indonesia
will push three essential points to be agreed upon by participating countries of the High-Level Forum on Multi-Stakeholder
Partnerships (HLF MSP) 2024.
It was
emphasized by the Director of Foreign Policy and International Development
Cooperation of the Ministry of National Development Planning/National
Development Planning Agency (PPN/Bappenas), Hendra Wahanu Prabandani, on
Tuesday (27 August 2024) in Jakarta.
The first agenda is the Summary and Policy Recommendations.
The results of the discussions and parallel sessions will be summarized in a
form of concrete policy recommendations to support the achievement of the
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030 and implement inclusive and
sustainable development policies.
The second agenda is the New Commitments and Initiatives from
various stakeholders, including the private sector, philanthropists, and civil
society organizations, to collaborate on development projects focusing on
innovation and alternative solutions.
The third agenda is the Multi-stakeholder Cooperation
Framework. The enhancement of collaboration
between the government, private sector, and civil society is facilitated through the establishment of new cooperation platforms
for effective knowledge and resource exchange.
Therefore,
said Hendra, the forum, which will be held from 1 to 3 September 2024 in Bali,
will be an important milestone in the history of diplomacy and international
development cooperation, especially between developing countries.
"In
this forum, we hope that we can really get various alternative solutions to the
deadlocks on development issues. So that all parties have a common commitment
and role to fight for," he said.
The 2024 HLF
MSP coincides with the 69th anniversary of the Asia-Africa
Conference, also known as the Bandung Spirit, which emphasizes the spirit of
solidarity and cooperation of developing countries.
The meeting
is expected to serve
as a platform that brings together various
stakeholders worldwide to jointly design a more inclusive and sustainable
future, in line with the spirit of the Bandung Spirit, which has been the
foundation since 1955.
"By
reviving the Bandung Spirit, Indonesia wants to remind the world of the
importance of solidarity between developing countries," said Hendra.
The HLF MSP 2024 will become a
significant milestone in the history of diplomacy and international development
cooperation, especially between developing countries. This forum will not only
find solutions to the deadlock in global development but also ensure that all
parties are committed to and involved in fighting for the solution together.
